Illegal transgression in legal process

Marriage alliances between young eligible couples who tie knot against the whim and wishes of local "alamberdar" of social values are cursed to face stiff opposition from the so called social leaders of village society. Till now more or less central Haryana and its adjoining areas was infected with this syndrome but now this infectious disease is spreading in new areas of Haryana such as areas of south Haryana bordering Rajasthan. Manethi is a village situated on national highway leading from Delhi to Khetri and known for its innovative farmers, producing a crop of agricultural scientists and technocrats and also soldiers of all ranks and file.
Perhaps this progress was only the result of improving the economic condition of the people while preserving the rotten ills and evils intact. What a starking contrast it is?
Sarla and Sunil tied the Knot in a temple with their free will on Nov.13,2009 and decided to lead a life according to their wishes breaking the ill social norms of that area where marriage is a occasion of pomp and show; and ugly display of dowry. This couple belongs to major caste of south Haryana. But our society is blessed with opposing the right things and creating hell for those who choose the right path. In rest of Haryana, traditional leaders devoid of values and responsibility lead such unconstitutional congregation but in this case elected representatives of panchayat and numberdars were involved defying their role as administrative functionaries.Interestingly, administration remained mute on the role
played by their key functionaries. This amply testifies the will, grit and character of government who is constitutionally responsible and answerable for protecting the legal and fundamental rights of its people. Is this a way of functioning of government
machinery ? Will the people of Haryana tolerate this ignominy with every passing day?
Lets ponder over at least on our bare minimum responsibility being human.

Impact of dying social values on matrimony

Haryana is a state known for its laborious people. For centuries this land had been a land of war, turmoil, external aggression and mutual mistrust. Different tribes and communities inhabiting had to face hostilities of variegated kind for their survival. These peculiar circumstances made the society typically rigid .Castes and gotra rules the roost. Not only higher castes but also lower castes are infested by the disease of gotra determining the fate of young couples.Every now and then we come across such ugly incidents and instances in our society. Recently a new such case surfaced in village Siwaha of Panipat district where this time a lower caste couple was dictated to dissolve their solemnised marriage or face the consequences. It seems that a influential section of lower social star ta aping its counterpart and by doing so they are not only appeasing their desires to be leaders of tier castes but also trying to equate themselves with traditional head of so called forward castes. We find typical contradictions in behaviour of these leaders who are otherwise totally opposed to tier counterparts in each and every walk of social life. It amply proves that in hypocrite behaviour both segments of society are comparable.Miseries and atrocities propounded on females particularly on young couples pleases both. The so called guardians of society are hell bent upon to destroy the social fabric and; to preserve their constricted pseudo ideals and say, playing with the teeming young lives.Should the right thinking people keep mum or they raise their voice? Will the common man living in today's Haryana register his anguish? Lets think.................

Women as tool for econimic gain

Society of India is as variegated as India itself.People here follow diametrically typical contradictory traditions not only in rural areas but also in urban areas. These traditions characteristically influence mode of living and thinking of people.Historically, horizontal stratification of society is rigid and fixed compared to vertical division on economic parameters. This dilemma is quite noticeable even in economically well developed strata with hypocrisy.Indian society is unique hypocrite society.
People here have organized in a society that is a consequence of unequal distribution of socio-economic, cultural and political gains. Opportunism and mistrust is hallmark of social mil lieu.Revelation is very much concealed.Deliberated ignorance about self is projected to harvest the benefits for which one is not qualified.
Under such circumstances fair sex is compelled to show response as dictated by man folks. Two instances I quote here which I came across recently.A married woman approached a notary for attesting an affidavit declaring herself as a widow. When notary enquired about her status as widow on seeing "SINDOOR" at her forehead. She ashamedly admitted that she is now married and her new husband compelled her for widow pension despite her resistance.Unemployment allowance is being grabbed by housewives who never tried for any job in the job market and their husbands are against for accepting any kind of job.Interestingly, all documents are prepared by their man folks for en cashing easy money earmarked for needy unemployed. Is this not a hypocrisy?

Hypocratic tendencies in northern India

Northern Indian states particularly Western UP,Rajasthan,Punjab, outer sub urban of Delhi and Haryana are experiencing a typical social order. In these states social development legs behind in their economic progress. These areas are characterized by decay of social values.Opportunism is the hallmark of these areas.People here have accepted it as tool of sustenance.
Fairer sex is facing new challenges not only for its well being but also for its survival.Skewed sex ratio has posed new threats for the society as a whole.Youths are at loggerhead in finding a mate. One who could manage some money procure a mate from the market irrespective of consideration of caste, religion, area, language and social norms.Hardly any voice of dissent is heard. But when such a thing happens in the society here, all kind of forces are galvanised to oppose such marriages in the name of brotherhood, neighbourhood and prevalence of social norms. It has been noticed that hardly a fortnight passes without any such reporting. Gruesomely, couples are dictated to shiver their bond or face ostracize.A few of them have to sacrifice themselves on the altar of love, trust and self respect. Is this
a healthy sign of a living and vibrant society? Is the choice of mate not a fundamental right? Will the coming generation forgive us for fettering our Young's without any fault of theirs?

Deteorating status of women in traditional Haryanvi society

Haryana was born on this day 43 years ago.I am also of the same age by chance. It is believed then that new formation will bring forth new dimensions in socio-economic, political milieu of this new state. Some significant changes have been noticed in economic field but the most important arena of societal development could not advanced further.Today Haryana's society particularly rural society is facing great contradictions. It shows a tribal character in societal decision making in the age of technological advancement. Social norms are twisted in such a manner that few most backward people by thoughts in a particular area govern the people by issuing talibani dictate. Rural areas have become inferno for youths particularly for those who have tender feelings of love and affection. Young boys and girls are butchered for no fault. Shamefully no reaction is made by any political and intellectual organisation. It seems society has become insensitive and its people dumb. It appears that we all are statues arranged in a rock garden. Will this heartless fearsome society is worth for its survival?
